University of Bath partners with Cialfo to enhance international student outreach via Direct Apply

Partnership will expand the university’s international student engagement strategy and facilitate a more seamless application process

BATH, 28 JUNE 2021 — The University of Bath, a top-ranking university in the United Kingdom (UK), has announced its partnership with Cialfo, a leading college counselling, application and networking platform. With over 30% of the university’s students consisting of international students from across 130 countries, Cialfo will play a crucial role in helping the University of Bath further strengthen and expand its international undergraduate recruitment strategy.

The University of Bath’s adoption of Direct Apply is an extension of the relationship developed over the past year. The university began working with Cialfo over the start of the pandemic, when restrictions on international travel necessitated the shift from offline to online recruitment and outreach events. Ciara Newby, Acting Head of Undergraduate Recruitment (International) at University of Bath, spoke of the fruitful partnership with Cialfo: “Since the pandemic began, Bath has valued the supportive relationship we have with Cialfo. Student participation and lead capture was pleasing in the school fairs, and their reaction to the cancellation of in-person events was swift, with well-organised events.

“The evolution to provide schools and universities an opportunity to connect in this way is incomparable with other organisations. Cialfo believes in the value of positive relationships, just like we do at the University of Bath. It is reassuring that many of our key international feeder schools are already working with Cialfo, and this is enabling us to extend our reach even further. We have been so impressed with the relationship we have developed with Cialfo over the past year and a half. The user-friendly platform has students at the heart of what they do, yet the data-driven approach is incredibly beneficial to universities,” she added.
