depends on what the purpose of your page is and who your main audience is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some schools use their profiles just for colleges, which tends to be more straightforward in terms of layout. Other schools may use it in conjunction with marketing or admissions, which makes for a more complex layout with attractive graphics. These can also be used as an information prospectus to attract the parents of prospective students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_do_you_want_to_highlight_about_your_school\"><\/span><strong>What do you want to highlight about your school?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>What are some of the things that set your school apart and make it unique for students?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_will_you_collect_and_format_data\"><\/span><strong>How will you collect and format data?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_information_should_you_include\"><\/span><strong>What information should you include?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>What are the foundational categories that should be understood about your school? What is unique or should be highlighted?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, basic information on the school including its history and background is a fundamental part of an education profile. You should also include demographic information on students, updates on the teaching faculty and staff, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Components_of_a_School_Profile-2\"><\/span>Components of a School Profile<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Curriculum\"><\/span><strong>Curriculum<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is another fundamental aspect of an education profile. Concordia, for instance, offers a wide range of classes on top of regular high school classes, from AP classes to Honours classes and Applied Learning classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have an independent curriculum, an important part of your education profile is explaining that to college reps. Having met with many college reps over the years, Love explains that what they want is to better understand the school\u2019s curriculum so that they can accurately assess students. Any school that has an independent curriculum will probably devote a significant portion of their education profile to explaining and outlining its curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some questions to consider when setting up this section include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is offered?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is unique?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How might curricular offerings shape learners?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How might college readers best understand the course selections students have made?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"External_Assessments\"><\/span><strong>External Assessments<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This section highlights your students\u2019 achievements, such as in standardized test scores and how this may compare to the national or global average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data for this section is largely influenced by where students apply to colleges. With an increasing number of US colleges going test-optional, this may change in the near future, as the number of students taking standardized tests will probably decrease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"University_Matriculations\"><\/span><strong>University Matriculations<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>How many years of matriculation data might best represent the trends and preferences of your student body? College reps always check this page carefully, so it is important to put some thought into this.
