Milene was inspired by McGill\u2019s top-ranked mining engineering<\/strong> program and its location in Montreal<\/strong>\u2014a city bursting with student life. From global festivals to cozy snow days, they\u2019ve embraced it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Though Milene arrived knowing no one, she found her community by stepping out of her comfort zone. From saying hello in class to joining SLASA<\/strong>, the Latino student association, she built lasting friendships and even started a close-knit group with a quirky name: The Frog Cult<\/em>. Sunav found his circle early through frosh, residence events, and cultural celebrations like Diwali at McGill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Montreal winters? They handled them like pros. Milene credits McGill\u2019s Winter 101 webinars<\/strong> for prepping her for the snow, while Sunav jumped into winter sports and discovered a new love for skiing and ice skating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both students share one key message: Get involved<\/strong>. Attend Activities Night. Join clubs. Go to office hours.
